Government

The City of Bel-Nor is governed by a Mayor and a Board of Alderman.  Upon becoming a city after a vote of the citizens in April 2015, the city was split into two wards.  Each ward elects two alderpersons to represent their portion of the city.  One mayor is elected at large by citizens of both wards.  The term for Mayor is two years in length.  Alderpersons from each ward are currently serving a two-year-term which will expire in alternate years.  Each April, one alderperson's term in each ward will expire, with his or her seat up for election and the other alderperson will maintain his or her seat until the following year.  This way, there will never be a replacement of both alderpersons in a given ward at the same time.

Christina Buchek (term expiring in April 2018) currently serves as Mayor of the City of Bel-Nor and can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

About Bel-Nor

The City of Bel-Nor, located in Saint Louis County, Missouri just minutes from highways 170 and 70, the University of Missouri Saint Louis campus, Lambert International Airport, and many businesses and restaurants.  Founded in 1937 as the Village of Bel-Nor, residents voted to become the City of Bel-Nor in April 2015.  However, this change in classification did not alter the fabric of this community where brick houses line the streets and people look out for one another.  This neighborhood truly is a place where you will feel embraced and connected, if you allow yourself to share in conversation and the lives of those beyond your front door.  This website will hopefully become a quality resource for you as you live, work, and play in the City where "we live in the village and live as the village".

Road Project News (This post last updated on 10-30-2017)

The Normandy Drive/ Arlmont Drive Road Reconstruction Project Is Underway!

Please see the "Documents" tab for Letters from the construction company, Gateway Design and Construction, for details about the work and maps of the project phases.

  • As of October 30, 2017, sidewalk repair is underway on Arlmont Drive.  Much of the sidewalk on the East side of Arlmont Drive is exposed dirt, as the concrete squares have been pulled up.  Foot traffic of all kind (especially Trick-or-Treat walkers) should STAY AWAY FROM WALKING DOWN ARLMONT DRIVE for your safety.  Especially after dark, this is going to be a hazardous area.

  • As of October 30, 2017, several phases of Normady Drive along the golf course and Greendale have been milled down and overlaid with the base layer of asphalt.  Crews are still moving southward along Normandy Drive to repeat this process until this roadway is repaved with the base layer.  Then the final asphalt overlay layer will blanket all of the base layer.  Normandy Drive is still not open to through traffic from Bel-Nor to St. Charles Rock Road, so please use Natural Bridge Road as your route to enter and exit Bel-Nor.

  • As of October 30, 2017, the North end of Arlmont Drive was milled down to evaluate the concrete sub-layer.  This area will be rough and bumpy, but open to car traffic.

  • For the month of November, Arlmont Drive will have actively working construction vehicles from 7am-5pm daily.  Street parking will be limited.  If you are not an Arlmont resident, please drive on alternate roads to move about the neighborhood.
